3-23-08 Well, we have stepped up our game and made a new website, http://www.akbinge.tv/ This is the first Alaskan internet television station of it's kind: DIY Alaskan Grown Original Programming. We are launching the site with 10 webisodes, and we will post a new one every week or so through the end of the season (or maybe longer?) You can see some of the footage that may be included in our new film, "Censored." Enjoy this free entertainment and be sure to spread the word about the new site to all your friends!
2-9-08 Binge. has been filming nearly everyday of this winter and we just released the teaser for our new film,"Censored." We have also added Darian Draper to the team, also known as steakneck! Darian is probably the gnarliest snowboarder to come from Alaska and binge. is honored to film and ride with him.
1-10-08 The season is in full swing for the binge. crew. New Year's Eve in Cooper Landing turned into a week long snow binge in the surrounding Kenai Mountains. We met up with Darian Draper from Seward and he definetely had a few tricks up his sleeve. The highlights of the trip were epic pillow lines everywhere we looked, as well as breaks in the storm that has been continually hammering us.
On a sobering note, Jeff Hoke (team rider Adam Hoke's brother), an accomplished Captain in the AFD and heli-ski guide with CPG suffered a broken patella(knee cap) and torn ACL in a horrible creek bed snowmachine wreck. He fell roughly 12 feet into an open creek in the Snug Harbor area and was pinned beneath his sled. Only his face was above the water surface and he thinks it took him roughly 5 minutes to struggle his way out from underneath his sled. Luckily, team rider Rory Marenco saw Jeff as he was riding to a film location and alerted the rest of the crew. Jeff survived due to his vast backcountry knowledge and rescue skills. He was quoted as saying "I'm sticking to the heli's!!!" Our thoughts are with him.
12-15-07 Binge. wants to thank all of you who came out and celebrated the release of our new film, "Cubed" on 11-17-07. This season is already in full swing as we have made trips to Paxson and Valdez, as well as shredding the local southcentral areas. We have a ton of new merchandise out, have a new team member, and we are plotting our strategies for making the best backcountry film ever to come from AK! All we need is your help with the snow gods: Summon the snow with our sick design, the 9" tall Pray4Snow sticker.
